The moment I knew that baking would be my business occurred while working at The Taylor Family Foundation's Celiac Camp. I specially baked and served gluten-free birthday cakes to every camper- and they were ecstatic, because for the first time, they could enjoy the simple pleasure of eating a slice of cake- something taken for granted by those not afflicted with gluten intolerance. After camp, when I went back my regular job in the Whole Foods bakery, I began to really take notice that options for GF customers were sorely lacking; there were few quality savory snacks, and even fewer sweet treats. I decided that our gluten-free community, including my mother, who has celiac disease, would no longer go without.
Armed with bowlfuls of knowledge, batches of quality and a lifelong love of baking, I started Miglet's Gluten Free Bakery - a dedicated gluten-free facility. Although we began as a "Cupcakery," we've listened to our wonderful customers and we now make a wide variety of delicious treats. We are always looking for ways to offer even more... because our customers deserve only the BEST!
